Ms Yumiko Yokozeki (Japan) is the Director of UNESCO International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa (IICBA). Prior to joining UNESCO, Ms Yumiko Yokozeki was Regional Education Advisor for Western and Central Africa for UNICEF in Dakar, Senegal, and Regional Education Adviser for Eastern and Southern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. Ms Yokozeki also worked for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as Development Specialist, where she worked for 17 years in both field offices and at its Headquarters in Tokyo. She held several positions: Education Specialist for Maternal Child Health and Family Planning Project in Egypt; Team Leader for the Science, Technology and Mathematics project in Ghana; Regional Education Adviser for Africa; and Senior Education Adviser for the Headquarters.
